Anna G. Davis, LCSW
Anna G. Davis, LCSW, has earned her well-deserved reputation as a master therapist, specializing in individual, marital, adolescent, veterans, addictive, and trauma concerns. She has completed training in advanced complex trauma with the Ferentz Institute and is certified as a Level-II trauma therapist. She is trained in EMDR and uses Internal Family Systems theory in her practice. As an LSATP, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner, Anna has created and run programs in Fairfax County for the treatment of addictions for various specialized populations, and she has taught university classes in various aspects of diagnosis and therapy. Many of her former clients in these programs remember her years later as the person who changed, and at times, saved their lives. She receives many referrals from other professionals seeking the best care for their challenging clients and her practice is often full, but she welcomes new clients directly into her practice whenvever possible.
As a therapist treating clients for over two decades, I understand that change is difficult and scary, even when you are aware that change is in a positive direction of release from negative emotions and unhelpul beliefs. I have learned how to help clients through the initial, anxious steps of beginning the work of therapy. How to overcome fears, hurtful memories, and negative beliefs about yourself, and move through stages of growth to achieve mindfulness, inner serenity and self compassion. How to let go of addictive and compulsive behaviors, and achieve personal and relationship success. Your journey of release from psychic pain into positive personal success and joyful, mindful living can be the most exciting and meaningful experience of your life and I welcome the opportunity to walk with you on that journey, using the most effective tools and proven technique of clinical psychology.
